SIM Economics Society’s Economics Summit 2018: The Era of Change was a success! The event provided valuable insights and knowledge through two panel discussions which lasted 4 hours. The panel discussions featured amazing speakers with professional business qualifications:

-Lee Ju Ye, Maybank Economist

-Simon Littlewood, ACG Global President, and RIABU Director

-Prakash Kannan, GIC Head of Total Portfolio Management

-Amos Ong, Maybank Head of Global Banking

-Yvonne Zhang, of Aquifer Institute Founder & CEO

-Kent Choi, Bank of Singapore Managing Director

-Adrian Kemp, HoustonKemp Economists Founding Partner

The speakers shared their unique perspectives of the global #economy, US-China trade war, and the rise of China as the next potential global superpower. Not only that, the panel discussed the advantages and disadvantages of technological innovation, and how it potentially changes the way jobs are structured in the future. The discussion opened my mind and forced me to think critically. It was very fruitful!
